What are ArmoredCloset tornado shelters and safe rooms made out of ?
Hinged with 1/2 inch diameter stainless steel pin barrel hinges, ArmoredCloset Tornado Shelters and Safe Room walls and ceiling panels are made of 3/16- inch steel plates. The entire uni-body door module is made entirely of 1/4 inch steel plate.
How are ArmoredCloset tornado shelters installed to be so secure?
In order to ensure a sturdy Armored Closet, Concrete Anchor Bolts are secured to your concrete foundation and provide 4,660 lbs. of peak pull-out holding strength per bolt. Units range from 55,000 to 100,000 lbs. of tinsel pull-out strength.
What makes an ArmoredCloset safe room door safer than other shelter options?
3/16” F-5 Impact Channels are welded to the inside of the 1/4” plate steel door and are strategically located to give impact strength to the 1/2” barrel hinges and hardware array.
What safety details do ArmoredCloset's feature that other shelters fall short in providing?
The ArmoredCloset is proud to feature an F - 5 Lever Guard. We are the only company with this feature. Lever Guard is a feature that prevents the keyed lever handle from becoming dislodged during high winds and turning into projectile debris.

Will my ArmoredCloset stay lit when the power goes out during storms?
With the ArmoredCloset, you won't be left in the dark. Our shelters feature LED Lighting. Incredibly bright, magnetically-attached and battery-powered, these lighting systems will stay lit for months.
What makes an ArmoredCloset safe room door safer than other shelter options?

Will my family be able to breathe if something falls on my ArmoredCloset tornado shelter?
Thanks to our exclusive Vent - Shield, located at the top of the steel entry door, your
ArmoredCloset will be protected from wind debris. The Vent - Shield is welded to the interior side of the shelter door on the other side of the door vent slots.
Is Keyless Entry an option for my Armored Closet?
We are proud to offer a variety of different features in the ArmoredCloset. Your Armored Closet can be outfitted with an Optional Electronic Door Lever. Adding keyless, digital entry adds another layer of security to your ArmoredCloset
Can I add a FIRE-SAFE to my Armored Closet?
In addition to many of our other add - on features, we are happy to offer a FIRE - SAFE Vault to our listed of optional features. The SentrySafe FIRE-SAFE offers 1-hour of UL classified fire protection and is also ETL verified for 1-hour of fire protection for CDs, DVDs, memory sticks and USB drives.
These vaults are secured into the ArmoredCloset with four grade 8 bolts fastened to the back side of the unit with a bracket. All safes come protected with a custom security code.
Can my Armored Closet come with a built in gun safe?
In addition to a host of other optional add - ons, it would be our pleasure to equip your ArmoredCloset with a Winchester 10 - Gun Safe. This gun safe is designed to accommodate the Winchester 10 - Gun model. The safe features 9.3 cubic feet of safe storage to hold 10 long guns.
Weighing in at 200 pounds, the safe has six locking bolts, with security on both sides of the door. All of the safes we feature are made in Fort Worth, Texas.
How was your Ballistics Test for Armored Closet conducted?
To test the ArmoredCloset, we fired a semi - automatic hand gun with 45 caliber and 9mm bullets at a 3/16 inch metal plate in a test chamber.
